Shops, except for the main shop in town, are scattered about the dungeon. The three types of shop are weapon, armor, and general. Shops of the general type usually house weapons, armor, scrolls, and potions. Weapon shops usually sell only weapons, and armor shops usually only sell armor. You make purchases using the gold that you occasionally win from battles and quests. Except for the main town shop, you must press the quote key to enter a shop. After that, you will be presented with a menu containing the following items: buy, sell, and identify. Identify allows you to identify any unidentified object, such as a scroll or potion, for a reasonable fee, in many of the shops I've encountered, the price for identification was 27 gold pieces.
